The Chargers continued their impressive inaugural varsity season Friday night, battling on the road and pulling away late for a 31-22 victory over the Lewisville Lions. The Chargers once again showed their resilience, making the plays necessary down the stretch to turn a competitive game into a nine-point victory. Lake Wylie’s late surge helped secure its fourth win of the season, moving the Chargers to 4-1 overall and completing a perfect 4-0 non-region record. Sophomore quarterback #2 Landon Robinson led the offensive attack with 212 passing yards and four touchdowns, while also adding 114 rushing yards. Wide receiver Rhyan Watson contributed 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers continued to produce offensively. With non-region play now complete, Lake Wylie turns its attention to region play, beginning with a home matchup against Nation Ford on October 2.
